Jon has prematurely greying hair and looks older than he is. He often looks very tired and is physically unfit, as other characters refer to him as scrawny and he tires easily from physical tasks that others perform with little exertion.

Over time, Jon has acquired several scars from various encounters, among them including pockmarks, a severely burnt hand, and a scar across his neck.

PERSONALITY

Temperamental, snide, and incredibly opinionated are some choice words for Jon Sims, and, most of the time, he maintains his status of being a skeptical hard-ass.

Beneath that is someone who works past uncertainty through sheer stubbornness and pursuit of the truth, and holds great compassion for the people around him and the hardships they've faced, and struggles to balance loyalty with self-preservation on more than one occasion.

Born circa 1987 in Bournemouth, England, his father passed away when he was two years old and his mother died a few years later, leaving him to be raised by his paternal grandmother. He'd been a difficult and easily-distractable child, too curious for his own good in most occasions.

PERSONA

When recording a written statement, Jon takes on the voice and persona of the statement giver, reading the story with audibly different tones of voice and occasionally changing pitches to match the statement giver's. He gets notably absorbed in the statements, becoming irritated if interrupted.

COMPULSION

He is able to compel others to answer a question or give a statement. It is implied that it can be taken a step further and compel someone to physically do something against their will. It is possible to resist the compulsion, but markedly difficult. Some affected have described the feeling of being compelled as 'quite nice' and 'tingly.'

KNOWING AND UNDERSTANDING

He is able to Know certain things without having prior knowledge of them. This most often happens with relevant information to statements or the situation at hand. Jon has also been shown to understand written and spoken languages he has never learned. It is unclear if he can respond in those languages, as he has only ever spoken English.

INHUMAN HEALING

He heals from severe wounds quickly, and even more quickly when reading or recording a statement.
